MODIFIED: Easy Method To Change HTC imei no

Disclaimer: I wont be held responsible for any damage caused, and note that changing of imei is illegal in some countrues....So you're doing this at your own risk

 Make sure your device is rooted or it won't work.



Prerequisites:
1.. You must have Java installed on your PC, android SDK will be needing, but you can skip this if you've already done that....
2..Download and Install Android SDK
3..Download and Install PDAnet and select HTC when installing the driver..make note that you're connected to the internet and that you only plug your phone when ypu're asked to
4..Download Fastboot and extract the "Android" in it to "C:\ drive on your pc", you should now get this path folder "C:\AndroidFastboot.exe". Be sure that this path is correct

Steps to changing your HTC imei no:
Make sure you have the imei no you wish to use close to you and make sure usb debugging enabled

*Disconnect your device from the pc and switch it off completely....go to bootloader by pressing down the volume-down-button and the powerbutton at the same time for 10-15secs

*Select fastboot and connect your device to the computer, you will now see Fastboot usb as shown below

*Press the start button+R on your PC
then type in the run command "cmd" and press enter

*Type this command in
"cd C:\Android"
now type in "fastboot getvar imei"

This displays your original imei, you can write this down for unanticipated events

*Now type this "fastboot oem writeimei 357033xxxxxxxxxxx" be sure that this imei corresponds with the your desired imei
